Abstract

The book describes new technologies that allow individuals to measure, respond to and visualise their own and others’ exposure to noise and components of air pollution in near real time. But what is especially important, by also addressing the social and policy development aspects of citizen participation, the book does much more than providing a valuable look at technological challenges and solutions.
